entertainer who performs with comical talks and actions at a party. There
are only 4 Taikomochies remained in Japan. |
| Shisi-mai is performed with a mask of a half-lion and a half-dragon on
celebratry occasions. |
| Please enjoy Kouta and Zokkyoku ( Japanese traditional poetical musical
songs ) which people wanted to listen and sing in entertainment areas in
Edo. |
Koudan called Koushaku in the Edo period is a story which was told social
situations of the time by story tellers on a street.
Koudan played a role of news source along with the tile engraving in Edo
period.
Think of the Edo period with heroic episodes and human-interest story.

Jikata and Taiko drumer ). |
Enjoy the party on a Yakata bune cruising on the Sumida River and Tokyo
Bay in the night time. A Rakugoka entertains you with Kobanashi on the
Yakata bune. The Yakata bune will be chartered for you. The boat is equipped
with a karaoke machine and a toilet.
Departure Time will be around 6:00 pm.
The duration will be about three hours.

in the Edo period. The game is played between 2 persons. We will offer
presents when you hit the target. |

Dodoitsu originated from a love song for men and women in the Edo period

It was sung by people in Edo. |
It is also called Naniwa-bushi recital.
The reciter read, sung and acted a story with melody in each place of Japan
in the Edo period.

Shinnai is a kind of music or narratives of the Edo period.
A Shinnai singer recites and sings with his own attendant shamisen player.
There are many lyrical songs which contains sorrowful and tragic images
associated with suicides of lovers. |
Kodanshi ( a professional storyteller of history ) guides you beautiful
scenic and historic places in Edo.
You can enjoy Kodan ( historic narrative performed by Kodanshi ) during
a meal.
